Well, today was a complete waste of time.
It'sa good thing I got through all the plate reading rather early coz I spent almost the entire after noon chasing up paperwork to send away. You'd think that senior lab staff would be capable of signing their own forms without being bullied...apparently not.
Then I had to check the daily worksheets for the last week and make sure that not only had the junior staff signed all of their paperwork too, but also that the empty boxes are GMP complient. INterestingly, the junior staff are better at remembering to sign things.
Finally I had to clean 5 fridges before I could go home.
All of these jobs are additional to my generic 'lab technician' duties, yet they took more time.
And after all of that...a 10 hour day of acheiving very little...my car was playing up all the way home. It barely made it all the way.

New staff are more eager to please, so they do things like sign stuff while old staff just couldn't give a damn
