The Show and The Tattoo

I shall be playing the alleged whore/wife of Christ afterall. :-) It's not a speaking part as such, but lots of stage time. And my solo makes more sense in the general plot now (IMNSHO). I have a headband boom mike now, rather than hand helled, so I'm not having to get a crash course in 'singing with something in your mouth.'


Thanks to the people who have already, and so generously, offered help for Serena's trip. It's great to see that people are so willing to help out.

Opening Night

Well, thank god that's over.

For an opening night it sure felt like a dress rehearsal.

There were technical issues with mikes coming on late, lighting coming on and off in random places, costuming issues etc.

Soloists forgot lines or cues, were a little flat or just plain made it up (that's me!).

However...It went off.

The people liked it, and I even had people seek me out afterwards to say how good I was (although with the lighting guys forgetting to light me it's lucky there were choir members to direct them to me.

I feel suprisingly disappointed, considering how well it all actually went...the audience wouldn't be any the wiser of the mistakes really.
