Yay for 5 day weekends.
Jul. 10th, 2006 08:55 pmWell, it turns out that Serena's arm was broken in an entirely different way to what Dr #1 thought. But that's fair enough, the x-rays were pretty ambiguous and he's a GP in an afterhours surgery.
The Orthopedic surgeon at middlemore found the break and reset it in a way that should fix it, whereas the original cast was making it worse.
She didn't tell anyone for 2 dayd that it was hurting and going numb, because she didn't want to be any more of a hassle.
neep1, I have a photocopy of the xrays for your viewing pleasure.
My Stupid Aunty didn't want them to go to the hospital last night because it'd take too long. So my mum told her to leave them there and they'd catch a cab (dunno how they intended to pay for that). Luckily my uncle said he'd go and pick them up when they were done. I'd have thought Rosanne would be more sympathetic, and clued up about fractures (seeing as she used to be in the NZ Champion St John Ambulance Cadets Team).
Today my workmates all banded together today to help me get my Tecra finished early so i could collect Serena from our mum. Yay, Salmonella Team. I will bringing them baked goodies on Sunday or Monday.
On the cellphone front, I can make and receive calls again, but still no screen, and therefore no text messages. Hopefully I will be able to remedy this soon.
