Aug. 15th, 2006 09:14 pmWell, we got to CHCH last night. stayed with a friend of Aaron's family. She told us that so far there hd been no funeral arrangements made.
This morning we went to see Aaron's family. His dad had sorted lots of stuff out, but had to make an appointment with the funeral director later on in the day once his loan had come through (to pay for things).
Tonight we call him to find out what's going on. He hasn't called the funeral director, so the ball doesn't exist so is a ong way from rolling.
We want to have the funeral by Thursday, but at this rate it wont be till Friday.
I understand that his Dad is really struggling with this and not coping, but he could at least take up the offers of help we made. This isn't going to go away.
on a lighter note...
the mansion is INSANELY big. it really is a mansion. It would be such a fantastic party venue...and it has a panic room (a suite really)!
but it's interwebs are slow. :-(
