Well, all my plans for the weekend, and the next week, have been ruined.

Aaron and I had planned to spend some quality time together this morning, go out to brekky or something etc etc before his LAN this afternoon, and his leaving to Rotorua next week.

However...at 9am we got a phone call.

His mother died last night.

Seems we're coming home for a couple of days. :-/

He's doing ok. She's been very sick for quite a while, so it hasn't come as a shock as such.

I don't think it's really hit home yet.

Atleast she had been sick for quite a while. It's not *good* that she's been sick but it probably helps a lot now. I know it must be really hard still. I had a lot of trouble dealing after my Grandad died because I've always been really close to my Mum's parents... it was both slightly prepared for and not... he'd had cancer for a while but it had never seemed to get the better of him and he also found out 2 weeks before he died that the cancer was totally gone...
