some things never change, and some things do.

well that was weird. I got an invite from a chick on ICQ to join her and some friends in town tonight...that wasn't the weird bit. I joined her at Eye Spy where the drinks are stupidly priced, and then Aaron joined us. Also not weird. Got bored at Eye Spy, so they decided that we should all go to 818. It hasn't changed at all since I was last there (about 7 years ago), the girls were scanky, the guys were sleazy the drinks were cheap and the music too poppy for me. One of the girls in the group asked me if I wanted to dance, I replied that the music was wrong for me (as Aaron and I had just been discussing) and that it lacked the ramstein element (I didn't expect her to get what I meant), she agreed that she was into heavier, rockier music. but next thing I know Du Hast comes on, followed by Beautiful people! at 818! just odd.

There was also a really hot goth chick there. We oggled.

It was funny though, the clientelle were mostly really awful looking white pants scanks and scant hunters and parents of both...like a white trash family outing or something. I felt way too attractive to be there...although there were about 3 chicks there I might've taken home. :-)
I think Aaron found that amusing...I was finding the scenery more distracting than he was. lol

Secret societies

Oh yeah, I learned something new tonight. I have a vague feeling that I've heard it before though.

Apparently carrying lavender flowers is a secret signal to gay and bi people that you play on their team...here I was just impulsively picking flowers when I see them. That solves my problem of not being able to ascertain the lay of the land as it were. LOL.

I may have a need for it, you never know. :-)
